Robin Lockwood, Founder

Robin brings more than twenty years of experience in arts education, management, and nonprofit administration to Pivot Point Consulting. Before launching the business in 2012, Robin served as the Assistant Director for the Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York City where she was responsible for fundraising, program planning, day-to-day operations, and human resources management. Robin was instrumental in steering the museum through an enormous period of transition and growth.

Prior to moving to New York from the Midwest in 2006, Robin developed programming for Kansas City’s Coterie Children’s Theatre as well as the Pembroke Hill School, where she specialized in Early Childhood education. She has also held management positions in a variety of corporate and non-profit organizations where she specialized in staffing, community outreach, and the development and evaluation of programming for young people.

Robin holds a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Columbia University’s Teachers College, a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Kansas, and a certificate in Fundraising from the City University of New York. She currently lives in New York City with her husband and child.
